Title: Public Transporation Driver Supervisor / DART Transit Supervisor
Location: Kent WA & Kirkland WA
Work schedule: (Multiple shifts available)
- Tuesday through Saturday 6:30am - 3:30pm
- Monday through Friday 10:00am - 7:00pm

The career opportunity:
The DART Transit Supervisor oversees a team of 10 - 20 DART Bus Drivers in King County, a diverse staff serving diverse populations. The DART Transit Supervisor leads the problem-solving, field training, troubleshooting, performance management, employee relations, and monitoring of drivers; may also be responsible for driver scheduling or recruiting/hiring.

- Hold, or have the ability to obtain a CDL Learner’s Permit with Passenger Endorsements within 90 days of hire date
- At least seven years of acceptible licensed driving experience within the United States
- Prior supervisory experience
- Experience providing public transportation to the general public
- Available to work all days and shifts as required by operation
Examples of what you will be doing:
- Oversee safety and procedural compliance for all drivers and vehicles while in the provision of service. Provide in-the-field assistance as required and communicates to the Operations Manager driver concerns about operational difficulties encountered.
- Work directly with both Hopelink and King County Metro staff.
- Monitor service areas and routes connected to the Community Connections Service including the Trail Head Direct.
- Train and orient drivers; communicate safety and procedural guidelines and policies. Spot check the completion of pre-trip inspections and monitor compliance to passenger boarding and de-boarding procedures. Monitor, evaluate and identify drivers for re-training as necessary.
- Troubleshoot destinations, routes, scheduling, vehicle and/or driver issues as they arise.
- Operate any and all DART vehicles as needed to cover routes when drivers are absent.

- Plus up to 7 paid float days available to use immediately; dependent on hire date and hours/week
