Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, showers, locker rooms, shops, cafeteria, offices, and related facilities.
- Perform routine custodial activities, including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors, as well as vacuuming rugs and carpets in classrooms, offices, and other work areas.
- Clean and disinfect drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, showers, and urinals, as well as mirrors, tile, and windows.
- Report safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to the appropriate authority, as well as recommend maintenance repairs and maintain security of buildings.
- Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, floor strippers, buffers, polishes, carpet shampooers, scrubbers, high-pressure sprayers, manual and power sweepers, and power blowers.
