Position Title: DSDC Trainer
Reports To: DSDC Supervisor
Department: Logistics/Warehouse Operations
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:00pm
Position Overview: The Trainer is responsible for working with warehouse leadership to oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of orders, and managing warehouse staff. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and mentor warehouse associates, providing training and support as needed.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members to optimize workflow.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback to promote continuous improvement.
Operations Management:
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and shipping of products.
- Ensure that all operations adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Inventory Control:
- Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Implement and monitor inventory management procedures to minimize discrepancies.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all products are handled, stored, and shipped according to quality standards.
- Address any discrepancies or issues related to product quality or order accuracy.
Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Report and investigate safety incidents or near misses.
Performance Metrics:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations.
- Prepare reports on productivity, efficiency, and any operational issues.
Training:
- Train new hires/temps in processes and procedures of the warehouse
- Follow-up with existing associates to ensure processes and procedures are followed.
- Re-train any associates not following proper processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting, up to, 35 pounds as needed.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.
