Qualifications
This position will provide oversight to an all-female habilitation group home. Due to member requirements for this home, we are only able to accept female candidates for this position at this time.
The Program Supervisor is responsible for the programmatic and staff supervisory responsibilities for the provision of habilitation services (intellectual & disability services) as required by the agency and DES Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). The position is designated liaison for the agency and the direct support professionals, the community, families, and participants in the program.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma/GED with 1-year previous supervisory experience required, or a bachelor's degree with some supervisory experience preferred. Generally supervises 2-8 FTE.
- A minimum of 90 days prior experience with Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) population or relevant experience.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess valid drivers license with acceptable driving record, home telephone, and reliable transportation.
- Personnel management capabilities.
- Maintain confidentiality on all participants.
- Prepare required paperwork to support and document activities in the contractually require time lines.
- Satisfy DDDs requirements for staff certification.
- Develop appropriate behavioral plans as required by the Division of Developmental Disabilities.
- Review/complete all required progress notes, documentation and billing requirements in a timely manner
- Able to operate independently.
- Willingness to work nights or weekends.
- Ability to train staff.
- Participate as a member of a team and work in a cooperative manner with participants and other staff
- Participate in the individual team planning process.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner that respects the rights, dignity and privacy of persons assisted.
- Experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities with duties that have exposed the person to person-centered philosophies of service, program documentation, and assisting persons with disabilities in community integration and inclusion.
- Must obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and successful completion of background check.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Sign Language
- Greater than 90 days of prior residential experience is preferred
