As a Skilled Carpenter position at Horizon, you will…

Perform tasks required during general construction and renovation projects including alterations of walls, carpentry, drywall, electrical, doors, ceilings, plumbing, floor covering and paint.
Perform universal precautions and uses personal protective equipment.
Coordinate work under the direction of the Construction Manager follows all OSHA, DOH and building regulations.
Report building deficiencies to the Construction Manager provides a safe and healthy environment for all clients and staff.
Complete all appropriate paperwork.

What makes you a great candidate?

We can’t wait to learn more about you! Here are a few specifics of what you’ll need for the job :

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

4 years of relevant experience required.

Commercial construction experience preferred.

Location

This position is location at our corporate headquarters at 55 Dodge Rd, Getzville NY 14068.

Position Hours

This is a full-time role from Monday - Thursday 5 : 30am - 2 : 30pm and Friday 5 : 30am - 11 : 30am.

Compensation

Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $25.00 - $26.50. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include :

Stationary posture, alternating between standing and sitting

Ascending / descending on various structures (e.g. ladders)

Local travel between worksites

Operating machinery / power tools and occasional operation of company owned motor vehicles and heavy equipment

Lifting objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds

Exposure to various environmental conditions including low / high temperatures, and outdoor elements
