Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients with terminal illnesses, ensuring comfort and dignity during their final stages of life. You will work closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This position requires travel to various patient locations and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Duties
- Evaluate and admit patients to hospice, using critical judgement and CMS guidelines
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions regularly.
- Perform IV insertion and manage intravenous therapy.
- Conduct laboratory tests as needed to evaluate patient health.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans and disease processes.
- Assist with durable medical equipment (DME) setup and management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Offer memory care support for patients experiencing cognitive decline.
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders involved in patient care.
- Travel to patient homes or facilities as required for in-person assessments.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of SC and GA.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
- Experience in hospice or palliative care is preferred but not required.
- Skills in laboratory procedures and IV insertion are highly desirable.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Willingness to travel for home visits as part of the role.
- Previous experience in travel nursing is a plus.

Pay: $80,055.00 - $83,500.00 per year
