Host/Hostess | Full-Time

Summary: To ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures, in accordance with ZaZa Standards.

Essential Functions:

• Assist managers in opening and closing.
• Answering phone calls. Make reservations.
• Know outlet promotions and events.
• Greeting guests.
• Seating guests.
• Control heavy volume at Restaurant entrance.
• Knowledge of general hotel property.
• Knowledge of outlet hours of operations.
• Attend to and anticipate guests needs.
• Familiarization with all menus.
• Introduce server to guest.
• Knowledge of daily specials.
• Assign guest checks, seating areas.
• Adhere to grooming guidelines, wear Z pin, proper uniform standards.
• Follow proper Hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as needed.

Tools and Equipment:

• Computer and printer, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, file folders, filing cabinet, and facsimile machine

Working Environment:

• Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.
• Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
• Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
• Exposure to food items and beverages.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:
