Summary: The Spa Attendant is responsible for orientating customers to the spa facilities, greeting customers as they enter the facilities, and providing exemplary customer service.
Essential Duties:
- Direct interaction to ensure the highest quality of guest service is being provided.
- Keeping the cleanliness and order of the waiting area Sanctuary, locker rooms, bathrooms and all other areas neat, clean and stocked with all amenities.
- Work closely with the Spa Desk to coordinate checklists.
- Assisting the therapist with guest needs including set up of rooms prior to treatments, bathing rituals, bath butler.
- Escort customers to the locker room and provide them with a robe, slippers and locker.
- Provide orientation tour, explaining spa amenities offered and answering customers' questions.
- Be available to the customer to answer any questions about her treatment
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the relaxation room/ locker room and any other common areas.
- Maintain locker room supplies and amenities as needed.
- Review customer appointment/schedules as needed.
- Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, and retail product.
- Answer all guests questions and concerns and ensuring that all communication is professional and friendly
- Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency and /or heavy hotel activity.
- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, address the guest by name, and listen carefully to understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information.
- Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing in order to communicate with guests and employees
- Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, employee may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the hotel and report deadlines. This may include weekends and holidays.
- Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.
- Report all suspicious persons or actions, hazardous conditions, etc. to Security or management immediately.
- Assist in other areas of the spa where applicable.

Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:
- Stand; for long periods of time.
- Walk;

- Reach with hands and arms;
- Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
- Lift, carry and/or move up to 25 pounds or more. Ability to push and pull objects
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect sign of emergency situations.
