Are you a project manager who would be interested in working for an industry leader in packaging design and production for the food and beverage and health care industry. A project manager to oversee new program introductions and carry it through to production is needed.
This is a fast paced, high profile position. You must be motivated and enterprising. You will be expected to manage the development activities for new customer projects that will be implemented into one of the many plants in North America. You will work with customer's to develop new containers, you will work with designers, mold makers, production and process engineers to ensure the manufacturability of the containers. You will be part of an engineering group and you will report into the Director of Technology.
Duties
- Responsible for the development of new products from conception through commercialization.
- Lead project teams and supervise activities in the areas of product development design, tooling & equipment procurement, processing, metrology and product testing
- Submit Design Requests for new container drawings.
- Oversee and approve the qualification of new products, order new tooling and equipment as per customer and project requirement
- Assist in implementing and designing cost reduction projects to improve overall capability of plant processes to meet the Tentative Performance Specifications and reduce material costs.
- Prepare final report including: Performance Specifications, Product Drawings, Process Set-up Sheets and recommended Process Control Parameters
- Serve as customer liaison and technical advisor for all current projects as well as present new concepts and technologies to potential customers to establish new business.
- Ensure timely completion of projects through coordination of support groups
