The Engineering Intern will report to a member of the engineering team and is responsible for taking high level direction while completing the assigned agenda provided at the beginning of the internship program in compliance with company and industry standards, company procedures, regulatory and safety requirements in order to gain a full understanding of Howard Energy Partners and the midstream energy industry.
As an intern at HEP, you will:
- Be responsible for taking high level direction while completing the assigned agenda provided at the beginning of the internship program in compliance with company and industry standards, company procedures, regulatory and safety requirements in order to gain a full understanding of Howard Energy Partners and the midstream energy industry.
- Travel to local sites as required.
- Prepare and present an end of summer presentation as a capstone to the internship program.
- Apply company safety standards, engineering guidelines, industry codes and standards, and good engineering practices in the design and implementation of the assigned summer project.
- Communicate with company personnel and contractors for completion of the summer agenda

Qualifications:

Candidate must be working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering. Candidates currently pursuing a graduate degree in Engineering preferred.

Completion of upper-level college courses that are pertinent and relative the midstream energy industry.
- Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in the energy industry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal/written/interpersonal communication skills, strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week during the summer, beginning in June and ending in early August 2025.
