Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Engineer for coordination and oversight of preventive maintenance and repairs for a 115,000 SF medical facility in Oak Creek. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, building automation, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, fire and life safety systems. Must be self-motivated, well organized, detail-oriented, conscientious and able to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Experienced in the coordination of maintenance activities with outside contractors when work cannot be performed in-house.
- Ensure required logs and records of building system maintenance and life safety inspections are maintained.
- Participate in the development of procedures regarding building and equipment maintenance to ensure safety of the physical plant and compliance with licensing and/or accreditation agency standards.
- Responsible for the timely and efficient completion of all work requests and for being on-call as needed to handle emergency situations.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas in need of repair or maintenance
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance projects with external contractors when necessary
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
Requirements
- Proficiency in working with Building Automation Systems.
- Ability to interact and communicate with clarity, tact, and courtesy with tenants, hospital system, co-workers, contractors, vendors, and others.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to identify, prioritize, and complete repair and maintenance functions.
- Basic computer knowledge and communication by email and telephone.
- Ability to walk throughout the interior and exterior (including roofs) of the assigned property to inspect conditions for repair and cleanliness, and investigate property issues to repair, correct, or report.
- Prior experience in maintaining buildings or facilities, Medical building experience highly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.04 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
