Electrician -1st Shift

Perform various tasks necessary to repair and maintain all electrical components and equipment and the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform general electrical maintenance on the physical structure.
• Plan, construct, install, and repair electrical wiring in the plant.
• Run conduit and wiring throughout the plant as needed.
• Determine corrective action to machinery based on observation of machinery and discussion with appropriate personnel.
• Utilize various tools to repair equipment or build new products used in production.
•  Use cutting torch and welders.
• Operate forklift.
• Work with others

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain equipment within the maintenance department.
• Use safety guidelines in operating all equipment in maintenance and in the plants.
• Help to keep the maintenance shop area as clean as possible.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
• Must be able to troubleshoot PLC’s and drives.
• Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Must have industrial knowledge working with single and three phase electrical circuits.
• Experience with large stamping presses/dies preferred but not required.
• Experience with industrial robotic preferred but not required.
• Must be self-starter with high decision making and problem-solving skills in a production environment.

 Education/ Experience:

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.

• Pressroom equipment a plus but not required.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance
• Cutting and welding machinery
• Forklift operator certification required.
• Aerial lift certification required.
