Job Summary:
Operator runs machine by taking printed master rolls of product from press’s and converts them down to specified roll size/quantities by the customer’s request. This is performed by laying down silicone lines on the front of the product and laying down glue lines on the back of the product. The Product is inspected one last time for quality before being packaged for shipping to process.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Operates the CoMac 500CSR adhesive coater for linerless labels
- Works with Linerless coordinator, Quality Manager, and pressroom supervisor to provide the highest quality products and to resolve quality problems when they arise
- Pushes buttons, turns handles, moves controls and levers to start coating machine or manually controls equipment operation
- Turns, pushes or moves controls to set and adjust speed, temperature, silicone and hot melt glue-flow, and pressure tolerances of coater
- Loads, positions and adjusts printed materials on holding fixture or in loading and feeding mechanisms of coater
- Cleans and lubricates coater and components using solvents, rags and other maintenance tools
- Removes coated materials from coater, using hand truck, electric lift, or hoist and may transport them to shipping, as necessary or coordinates their movement with appropriate personnel
- Keep records in the coater log book
- Keep samples in linerless binder from each production run, and fills out coater log sheet
- Perform PA duties as assigned
- Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor or any other manager
- Participation in all HOP programs and events
- Adherence to Hub Labels safety rules and regulations, this includes wearing steel toed shoes and other PPE protection if applicable

Must be mechanically inclined
Must be detail oriented
Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to evaluate and resolve basic production problems
Education & Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Specific sight requirements include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear
The employee is frequently required to walk and/or stand for extended periods
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Will occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with mechanical
assistance
The work environment is that of a manufacturing facility. Conditions change as the outdoor climate changes. There are moderate exposures to heat and cold, as well as exposure to moderate noise levels, moving equipment, and other general manufacturing hazards.
