Lab Coordinator

Description

Basic Function:

The primary function of the Dental Laboratory Coordinator is to assist in coordination of the in-house lab to provide efficiency to adhere to the case schedules and to provide support to the Lab Managers regarding case errors, phone calls, and data entry into numerous systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a list of responsibilities associated with the Dental Laboratory Coordinator but is not exhaustive nor a complete, comprehensive list of the duties required and expected of the Dental Laboratory Coordinator; additional duties may be assigned as needed.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures of Hudec Dental Associates
• Record cases as they come into and out of the in-house laboratory
• Organizes all cases and be able to track cases in a timely manner
• Assist Lab Managers regarding case errors, answering questions, and inputting data
• Input data into computer systems (Seazona)
• Coordinates case schedules and informs laboratory technicians and lab managers of information
• Answers laboratory phone calls and assists with questions from customers
• Package cases for delivery and for shipping
• Coordinates delivery and pick up of cases and other items for driver
• Orders office supplies through Hudec Dental protocols
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Education:  Combination of education and experience normally represented by a high school diploma or GED
• Experience:  prior dental lab experience a plus, but not required
• Must have dental terminology
• Must possess the ability to follow detailed directions without difficulty
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in the English language.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Must have excellent listening skills
• Must have good computer skills
• Able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced environment
