What are the responsibilities and job description for the AVP IT Portfolio Management position at Hudson Valley Credit Union?
- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the overall goals of the credit union. Work closely with senior management to identify technological needs and solutions.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the IT team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT projects and infrastructure. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget. Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- System Maintenance: Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the credit union's IT systems. Oversee regular maintenance and updates.
- PMO and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related matters.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum 8 Years experience Creation and execution of project plans required.
- Minimum 5 Years Work history in program, project, portfolio management required.
- Minimum 5 Years experience work history in Information Technology required.
- Work history in Credit Union or Financial Institution preferred.
