HWIS is seeking a dedicated and relible Financial Planner to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis (5- 10 hrs./wk.). In this role, you will be assisting the CFO in overseeing the fiscal operations of the school.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budget preparation for summer programs and school year
• Analyze spending reports to explain variances against budget
• Update financial projections; recommend budget changes as necessary
• Update cash flow model regularly
• Oversee preparations and data requests from auditors
• Work on special projects (e.g., Amortization schedules, capital asset tracking)
• Make recommendations and implement as necessary process improvements including internal controls
• Prepare reports as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or accounting is required, Master’s Degree (MBA or MA) a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance/ accounting role
• Mastery of basic accounting principles is required
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Ability to work on multiple projects and manage time efficiently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• School experience preferred but not required
