Overview
Hughes Lumber Company supplies materials for residential and commercial building in Oklahoma and Texas. The company headquarters is located at the Tulsa Port of Catoosa and supports branches in 8 cities. The Accounting Clerk will provide support for the local branch and Credit Manager. The position will be on-site at the Port of Catoosa office.
Responsibilities
- Complete reports for daily balancing
- Responsible for calling past due accounts
- Customer service including account reconciliation, sending monthly statements and assessing monthly service fees on past due accounts
- Maintaining and setting up customer accounts
- Apply customer payments
- Review daily invoicing for accuracy and remit to customers
- Work up customer credit applications by contacting applicant references and requesting necessary additional information needed to submit to Credit Manager for approval
- Verifying proper tax jurisdictions and monthly tax-exempt audits
- Prepare quarterly reports for branch managers
- Any other assignments related to supporting the branch and Credit Manager
Required Skills and Qualifications

- Maintain a well-organized office
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
