Vision for the Role: The Guest Host plays a vital role in promoting Hume New England’s mission by partnering with guest group leaders and facilitating their events. This individual ensures an exceptional guest experience by accommodating needs, exceeding expectations, and upholding organizational policies when necessary. The Guest Host will serve in a variety of environments, adapt to shifting needs, and take initiative in enhancing the role over time.

The Role:

• Build relationships with guest group leaders to understand their needs and provide exceptional service throughout their retreat experience.
• Ensure guest accommodations and event logistics are handled efficiently, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
• Communicate and uphold organizational policies to maintain safety and alignment with Hume’s mission.
• Serve in various capacities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on diverse tasks.
• Anticipate potential challenges and independently identify solutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Exemplify Christian values and provide spiritual support to guests and team members as opportunities arise.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Evidenced commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel with others.

• Must agree with Hume Lake’s Statement of Belief and be willing to abide by Hume Lake’s Code of Conduct.

• Must be able to live in Hume Lake housing or provide private accommodations conducive to guests and conference needs.

• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
  • Occasional physical tasks such as moving supplies or setting up event spaces.
  • (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions of the job.)

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or ministry is a plus.
