What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Python Engineer - High Frequency Trading Firm position at Huxley?
A boutique high frequency trading firm is expanding their software team and looking to bring on a Lead Python Software Engineer. This person will be both hands on with the architecture and code, but will also lead their small team of software engineers and partner heavily with the Traders, Researchers, and Risk teams.
Requirements :
- 10 years of software experience - more recently with Python
- Experience in the High Frequency or Electronic Trading space
- Solid understanding of trading markets, financial instruments, and market microstructure
- Ability to lead technical direction for the engineering team
- A background in C is a plus
- Ability to partner directly with the business
This is a Lead role, in a fast growing firm reporting to the Head of Technology. This person will have the chance to grow into a leadership role, and build out new systems from scratch.
