We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic, hands-on leader. This full-time, permanent position requires an individual who is looking to “take the next step” in their career.
This Monday – Friday (day) position offers a good pay range and excellent benefits, which includes employee paid health insurance! Salary is up to $60,000 annually based on Managing Experience and past Environmental Compliance Experience.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the safety & training of all on-site employee
· Exercise proper authority in hiring, promoting, reprimanding, and terminating according to the law
· Schedule for all shifts (accounting for holidays & time off) to ensure adequate coverage
· Maintain appropriate staffing and equipment to meet customer/exceed expectations
· Maintain customer-service focus, especially when handling calls from customer's management
· Responsible for fork truck training & licensing
· Basic knowledge of legal practices with regard to staffing, promotions, reprimands and terminations
· Leadership skills needed to unite employees & provide best customer service
· Possesses & fosters creativity toward continuous process improvement
· Responsible for ensuring Health & Safety plan is followed
o Knowledge of standard safety practices & skills/abilities needed to teach/promote them
· Responsible for compliance auditing ensuring the proper collection, labeling and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
· Responsible daily to ensure compliance of all stored and collected materials. Any nonconformities identified must also be remedied immediately.
· Responsible to track, store and maintain all audit records.
· Ability to work 40 hours/weekly as required when needs arise. While not the norm, this position could potentially include nights and/or weekends in emergencies.
· Computer knowledge is necessary; proficient use of email and Microsoft software.
· Must be a strong communicator with a proven record of effectively hiring and training associates to succeed in their daily-required tasks.
· Must have and provide strong leadership skills to create a TEAM FIRST attitude.
· RCRA and DOT experience required.
Other requirements:
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Able to lift at least 50 lbs
· Must be able to walk long distances daily.
· Ability to stand, sit, lay, reach, bend, lift, push, pull, drive, and maintain focus for sustained periods of time
· Ability to safely & effectively work in an inside and outside environment
· Pass a criminal background check
· Pass a drug screening
