HX5 is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Basic Duties:
- Identifying, analyzing, and evaluating mechanical, structural, thermal, and material characteristics and performance of armament systems resulting from transportation, handling, storage, and operational use.
- Provide structural analysis for armament systems.
- Review test plans and reports.
- Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations.
- Attend and assist test events and provide recommendations as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college.
- BS degree and five (5) years of professional experience; OR a MS degree and three (3) years of professional experience
Preferences:
- Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
- Prior experience working with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)/Computer Aided Design (CAD), structural frequency testing, modeling and simulationor moving mechanical assemblies.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret by date of hire, with an investigation date within the past six (6) years.
- Must be able to travel as necessary.
