The Banquet Server is responsible for providing excellent service during events such as social events, corporate meetings, or in-house events. Their role involves assisting with the preparations, setup, serving and cleanup of events.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up tables, chairs, linens, and holiday décor according to the event specifications.
- Ensure that food and beverage stations are properly arranged and stocked.
- Greet guest in a friendly and professional manner
- Serve food and drinks during the event, ensuring guest’s needs are met promptly.
- Provide assistance and directional information about meeting space.
- Refill drinks and clear empty plates or glasses as needed.
- Ensure the safe and proper handling of food and beverages.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, making sure everything looks good.
- Provides knowledge about food menus offered and is able to suggest substitutions for dietary restrictions.
- Clear tables and reset dining areas for different courses or after the event.
- Clean and sanitize all banquet areas, including removing trash, dishes, and linens.
- Assist in breaking down event equipment and cleaning up after the event is over.
- Ensure that the banquet area is kept, clean, safe and presentable throughout the event and after the event concludes.
- Refreshing the room after the attendees have left for the next day.
- Clearing all food and trash out of room.
- Tidying the room for the next day.
- Communicate effectively with event coordinators, kitchen staff, hotel leadership to ensure a smooth operation.
- Flexibility to be adaptable to client needs or changes, showing professionalism and problem-solving abilities.

- Previous experience in customer service or food service preferred.
- Strong communication skills and friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow instructions and work as a part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene standards
- Physical stamina to stand, walk for long periods of time.
- Able to lift and carry up to 80lbs.
