Shuttle Driver Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Hotel Airport Shuttle Driver. The primary responsibility of this position is to transport hotel guests to and from the airport in a safe and timely manner, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained throughout the journey. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a valid driver's license.
Below is a list of Shuttle Driver expectations:
® Greet and transport guests to our downtown Flushing hotel locations
® Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the shuttle vehicles and hotel properties
® Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
® Identify and explain room features to guests (e.g., use of room key, ice and vending areas, in-room safe and valet laundry services).
® When available, transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area.
® Assist with luggage storage and retrieval when available
® Assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including assisting guests with loading/unloading luggage.
® Supply guests with directions
® Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving the shuttle
® Arrange transportation (e.g., taxi cab, shuttle bus) for guests/visitors, and record advance transportation requests as needed
® Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
® Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
® Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
® Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises
® Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
® Greet every guest with a smile
® Use guests’ names at every opportunity
® Thank the guest and invite them back
® Provide refreshments in all shuttle vehicles
® Maintain clean and organized vehicles in good repair
Additional Responsibilities and Job Functions: include, but are not limited to, the following:
® Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and philosophy of the Hyatt Place and Renaissance Flushing. Displays dignity and respect for others at all times.
® When available, assist guests with check-in and check-out processes (verifying registration, address and credit information, balancing bank, posting charges).
® When available, go above and beyond to provide assistance, i.e., assist with luggage, coffee, directions, wake up calls, future reservations, etc.
® Courteously and efficiently provide information to guests and visitor inquiries; coordinate all guest requests for special arrangement of services; inform guests of hotel services, features and room amenities.
® Assist guests with directions in a friendly, professional, and timely manner. Use suggestive selling techniques. Maintain a clean, organized vehicle for guests.
® Follow Hyatt Place and Renaissance Flushing operational policies and procedures, including those for cash and credit card handling, safety and security and all other policies, procedures and standards to ensure we can consistently exceed the guests’ expectations.
