The Hyatt Place Seattle/Downtown is looking for a talented Front Desk Supervisor!

Our Front Desk Supervisors' primary responsibilities are to Provide exceptional, personalized service to each guest and Lead each shift to success. Each supervisor acts as the hotel MOD, taking responsibility for the property in absence of other management. Your leadership, problem solving skills, and incredible service are the primary drivers promoting guest satisfaction. In addition to standard front desk duties (check-ins, check-outs, phones, cashiering, etc), you'll take on additional responsibilities as part of our hotel's management team. Leading, training, coaching, and counseling our front desk agents will be your primary focus.

Essential Job Functions

  • Act to ensure the best interests of our guests, our staff, and our hotel at all times.
  • Assign and delegate daily tasks to front office personnel.
  • Delight hotel guests with friendly, personable service.
  • Guest Satisfaction - Respond to guest needs, special request, and complaints as needed.
  • Smile, acknowledge, and greet guests at front desk and other public areas.
  • Lead your team to success. Provide support, assistance, and training to our front desk agents and other employees.
  • Process guest registrations, including the computation and collection of payment.
  • Complete shift reports and process all financial transactions, including the verification and process of credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Act as our guest's personal concierge. Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, reservations, attractions, directions, etc.
  • Supervise completion of your assigned shift checklist.
  • Treat fellow team members with respect, dignity, and courtesy.
  • Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, holidays, and the occasional graveyard shifts as necessary.
  • Assist other employees in various assignments.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Has 2 years of hotel front desk experience
  • Previous Hyatt front desk experience preferred
  • Is a customer service champion!
  • Has previous supervisory experience and is capable of leadership
  • Wants to pursue a career in the hospitality industry
  • Has previous experience with Opera PMS and Micros POS systems.
  • Is personable, peppy, and good with people.
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment.
