BASIC PURPOSE: Perform duties of Bell person, assisting guests upon check-in and check-out and as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Adhere to all uniform standards and maintain a professional appearance at all times
• Show guests to room assisting them with their luggage.
• Explain all hotel facilities, their location in the hotel, hours of operation, and answer all questions about these facilities and other questions about the hotel and hotel events.
• Be knowledgeable and able to answer an and all questions related to surrounding area outside the hotel and daily city events
• Check luggage for hotel guests both for day and overnight.
• Maintain the designated stations in the lobby, standing alert to be accessible for guests and colleagues.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bell stand, lobby and baggage room. Keep lobby door and windows clean when not busy with guests.
• Always travel with bell cell phone and/or house radio.
• Maintain an open communication line through all shifts by proper use of inter-shift log.
• Deliver messages, packages, letters and all other needed items by our guests to their hotel rooms or function space
• Be responsive to guest needs and communicate all guest issues to management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in both written and verbal form
• Fluent in English
• Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift to include weekends and holidays
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with team members and guests
• Physical qualifications:
• Ability to navigate a bell cart and lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, pull, walk and stand for the duration of the shift
• Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment
• Constant contact with fellow team members and guests
• Work is typically in area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy

Education: High School Education or equivalent experience

Experience: Customer Contact Experience preferred.

Hours: Hours may vary based on business needs, potential for full time position.
