Paraprofessional

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our students and enhancing the learning, social annd emotional experience for our students. This position is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about a different way to educate and have a strong desire to work with children with special needs in a unique environment.

Duties

• Assist teaching and implementing classroom activities.
• Support students with their academic tasks, focusing on areas that need the most attention.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive stable environment.
• Provide care and supervision through the day and during student free time.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff and parents to foster a collaborative atmosphere.
• Participate in the preparation and serving of students snacks and lunch.
• Schedule and participate in bathroom breaks and changing of diapers if required.
• Observe and report on student progress to assist in their development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational or behavioral childcare setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and strategies.
• A genuine passion for educating unique learners, especially in an ESE setting.
• Knowledge of special needs care practices is a plus.
• A commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging environment.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
