The Co-Op student will be working from June 2025 - December 2025.
PRIMARY FUNCTION :
The Engineering team at Viking Pump Inc., a Unit of IDEX Corporation, is seeking a student co-op to work within our Engineering Department in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Specifically within the Biopharma project group. Student will participate in design / new product development projects to support Growth & Innovation in biopharma pumping segment
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Participate on cross-functional & international project teams
Support New Product Development efforts in biopharma segment
Aid in testing and data analysis of new product prototypes
Assist with project research through simulations & documentation
Create and update models and drawings in SolidWorks
Maintain part numbers and Bills of Material in ERP system
Learn additive manufacturing and 3D scanning technology
Aid in Engineering calculations and documentation
Other engineering projects as assigned
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar
Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Major
OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
COMPUTER SKILLS :
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
CAD training w / SolidWorks experience a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENT :
Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.
Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
