Construction Occupational Health and Safety Intern, Summer 2025

IEW Construction Group is a heavy civil construction company, currently searching for a SAFETY ENGINEER INTERN to join our growing Safety Team for the summer of 2025. This is a highly visible, pro-active and "hands-on" position. You will be working with our Safety Team responsible for safety related matters including OSHA compliance on multi-million dollar construction sites.

Job Title: Safety Internship - Occupational, Health and Safety Student

Required Education & Experience:

• Candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, or other technical degree.
• Candidate must have completed at least 1 years of college course work.
• Candidates must be able to work full-time for a period of 8-12 weeks.
• Candidates must have critical thinking, communication, problem solving and computer skills.
• Candidates must have the ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement corresponding changes.
• Candidates must have the ability to think critically about process inefficiencies and propose solutions.
• Candidates must have a "go get it" and "how can I help" mindset.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Prior internship or work experience in EHS field or in the construction industry a plus but not necessary.
• Candidates should have the ability to communicate ideas and explain decisions in a clear and understandable manner.
• Candidates should have the ability to work in a small team.

Our Support Functions deliver services and make recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the culture of our organization. Our Support Functions include HR, Finance, Information Technology, Legal, Procurement, Administration, Facilities and Security.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with Safety Director, Safety Manger and Project Management Team.

Note: This is an internship position, providing an opportunity for mentoring and hands-on experience in the field of accounting.
