Leland Saylor Associates is Hiring an A/E/C Marketing Coordinator Near Walnut Creek, CA

Leland Saylor Associates (LSA) has an opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator with Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry experience to join our team at our headquarters in Walnut Creek, CA. The Marketing Coordinator will support a team to produce materials required for the firm’s marketing and business development efforts— including crafting marketing collateral such as proposals and presentations, tracking project and client leads and communications, ensuring project and client data is properly tracked and reported, and represent the company in a sales capacity at select industry events.

Our team regularly supports projects ranging in construction value from $1 million to over $1 billion—from water and utility infrastructure work, roadways and bridges, aviation and rail/transportation projects, laboratories and high-tech facility developments, public service and healthcare facilities, K-12 and university campuses, to federal facilities. LSA has offices throughout the country, with three California offices, including our headquarters in Walnut Creek, an Oakland office, and a regional office in Los Angeles, as well as an office in Washington D.C.

Daily Duties

  • Work with firm leadership and other marketing personnel to identify appropriate project pursuit opportunities.
  • Work with firm leadership and other marketing personnel to outline Request For Proposal (RFP) requirements, prepare qualification packages for project opportunities in line with expected consistency in quality and procedures and other client-directed requirements.
  • Represent the local office at selected business development functions with typical AEC industry organizations such as SMPS, CMAA, and ACEC.
  • Understand the office’s pursuit pipeline and utilize Salesforce CRM to both identify upcoming opportunities and help efforts for timely visibility around major pursuits and brand enhancement needs.
  • Assist with identifying client contacts and provide any other assistance as requested to support marketing efforts.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for interviews and other public engagements.
  • Assist firm leadership and other marketing personnel with the development and implementation of marketing plans for the office.
  • Assist in company recruiting efforts including candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and resume development.
  • Assist with the organization of special events as requested.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by firm leadership.
  • Coordinate with other marketing and business development personnel at other locations to support the overall goals of the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ marketing, business development, and or proposal development experience in the AEC industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • A thorough knowledge of all aspects of marketing principles including market research, credential packages, proposal submittals and interview preparation. Understanding of brochure design, advertising and award submittals is required.
  • Involvement in relevant industry organizations such as SMPS, CMAA, and ACEC.
  • Works effectively and independently in a high-pressure team environment to manage multiple tasks in parallel. Ability to quickly adapt to and communicate changes in program schedules and priorities.
  • Demonstrates initiative, self-motivation, and self-discipline.
  • Very detail oriented, creative, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
  • Ability to travel as required to represent the firm at industry events and other client functions.
