Position Overview

In support of this vision, the Employee Services Specialist develops, coordinates, facilitates, implements, and promotes designated special projects, procedures and programs which enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Authority’s Employee Services team.
Essential Job Functions
The Employee Services Specialist’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for facilitating, coordinating and promoting designated projects, procedures and programs, which enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department of Administration
- Responsible for contacting successful candidate to schedule processing for pre-employment requirements
- Follow up, as necessary, on routine duties and assigned duties within the Department of Administration to ensure efficiency of the office
- Perform special projects and other duties as needed and assigned
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by senior leadership
- Assist with entering new hires into HCM system and reviewing
- Respond to internal and external HR related enquiries or requests and provide assistance.
- Assist with onboarding scheduling of new hires and update records with new hires
Qualifications
Education (Required)
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent
Education (Preferred)
- College coursework in Human Resources
Skills and Experience (Required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong ability in using MS Office
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle data with confidentiality
- Well organized with a skill in time management
Skills and Experience (Preferred)
- Minimum of one years of experience in human resources or a related field
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems)
