Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable professional to join our team as a Commercial Paint Technician. Applicants will perform various duties pertaining to cleaning and painting of all manufactured products requiring the highest skill, automotive grade quality.
Responsibilities
- Sand, prep and mask areas to be painted.
- Select paint according to company requirements, following specified Color charts
- Masks off areas not to be painted efficiently.
- Sprays prepared aluminum and acrylic surfaces, utilizing primers and specific paint colors using spray gun.
- Monitor paint flow from spray gun and inspects for flaws, runs, drips and uncoated sections to correct their causes.
- Assists with the maintenance and cleaning of paint booths and various types of spray equipment.
- Accurately reports shop floor production data via computer terminal.
- Follows written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted.
- Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
- Professional painting experience
- Physical stamina
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
