Summary:
The Assistant Plant Manager at Imagineering Enterprises, Inc, has the functional responsibility for Assisting the Plant Manager in the Daily operations, and works directly with department coordinators to ensure all systems and procedures and schedules are being followed. They will also assist with Scheduling when needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Schedules overtime when authorized, as customer requires
- Ensure shop cleanliness at all times
- Ensuring daily Coordinator and assistant plant manager check list are complete each day.
- Ensuring employee performance evaluations are completed in a timely manner
- Monitors Shop Dispatch/Load and communicates with other coordinators to prioritize jobs to meet customer requirements, and to maintain smooth and efficient work flow
- Support Production Scheduling to determine due dates when customer required lead time is less than our standard lead time
- Assisting the Technical Sales departing by providing input on quotes if needed, technical advice and support, on-site visits to customers, and through participation in other sales-related functions
- Support Quality Technicians in developing efficient processing methods
- Effectively works and communicates with cross-functional departments including but not limited to EHS, Maintenance, Sales, and Quality
- Continuous improvement of various techniques performed within the duties of all production department to improve productivity, efficiency, and the cost-effectiveness of the process
- Continuous performance of administrative tasks associated with all production departments, including processing (and maintenance if required) of any records generated from these tasks
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assists Plant Manager with interviews, hires, and training of new staff
- Assists with the daily workflow of the facility
- Addressing performance related issues with the production team such as, attendance, punctuality, scanning, and job performance issues
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Ensure team is following all company policies, procedures, and IFT’s standards
- Mentoring team members to recognize and remove bottlenecks by re-allocating people and equipment as necessary to meet corporate objectives
- Actively looks for opportunities to develop employees and promote from within
- Manages by facts and objective evidence
- Creating goals for individual team members to ensure IFT is maximizing their potential
- Assists Plant Manager with discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Management, or related field highly preferred. Proven experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
At least four years of related experience required.
Job Level
Intermediate. Although some requirements of the job can be considered routine, many aspects require good judgment and decision-making skills. Reports to the Plant Manager
Job Complexity
Assignments are moderately complex in nature, primarily due to our changing customer demands, and “job shop” processes.
Supervision
Normally receives no instructions on routine work, and general instructions on new assignments.
Continuing Education
The individual is required to complete at least 24 hours of job related training per year. This may be accomplished through Internal Training Systems, University-level courses, seminars, continuing education courses, or as approved by the Executive Management Committee.
Travel
Local and overnight travel may be required occasionally.

Compensation
The wage range for this role reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Imagineering Finishing Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000-$85,000.
