We're looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Wiz, particularly in managing and securing cloud environments. This is a 100% remote position, no additional travel required, aggressive salary and bonus packages, and 401K matching.
Duties:
- 5 years of managing and securing cloud environments in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Hands-on experience with AWS security controls/services, including IAM, VPC security, AWS Config, GuardDuty, KMS, and CloudTrail, with a focus on cloud security management, monitoring, and incident response.
- Deep expertise in Wiz for developing security policies, rules, and controls, including the ability to fine-tune Wiz rules and configurations for greater accuracy, reducing false positives, and enhancing the detection of real security risks.
- In-depth knowledge of using Wiz to identify, manage, and resolve cloud security vulnerabilities, with experience customizing and optimizing Wiz security rules and policies for cloud environments.
- Ability to serve as a point of contact for application teams, providing guidance on remediating Wiz-detected vulnerabilities or misconfigurations, ensuring they are appropriately triaged, documented, and resolved..
- Experience working closely with application teams to explain and contextualize Wiz findings, address questions, and clarify nuanced security issues related to vulnerabilities.
- Skilled in collaborating with development and security teams to implement best practices and mitigate identified security risks.
- Extensive hands-on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools for automating security operations in AWS environments.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles including common threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ability to engage in ongoing scope refinement to determine and validate security requirements.
- Coordination Abilities: Demonstrates the ability to collaborate with various resources across Infosec, Cloud, and vendor populations to achieve security objectives.
- Team Collaboration: Works effectively as a supportive team member within the InfoSec and Cloud teams and acts as a security ambassador to the wider organization.
