PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

6. Use appropriate language and is tactful, courteous, and an effective listener. 7. Is physically and emotionally healthy, poised, punctual, and enthusiastic. 8. Maintain punctuality and notify the secretary or principal in the event of illness or personal time needed.
1. Work with the food service assistant to provide appropriate school experiences in all areas of development.
2. Prepare the physical environment and maintain order in the environment. 3. Preheat oven and warmer when needed for meals.
4. Keeps refrigerator and freezer at the appropriate temperatures. 5. Keeps inventory of cleaning supplies, making purchase requests when needed. 6. Reports any appliance or equipment issues to the Principal. 7. Clean all equipment, utensils, and facilities daily.
8. Comply fully with all NE Department of Health regulations and directives.
1. 10:15am to 2:15pm Mondays through Fridays when hot lunch is being served. Occasionally, events may necessitate a change in hours.
1. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
2. Must be able to drive.
3. Must be able to carry items up and down stairs.
4. Must pass a background check.
5. Must complete food service training.
6. Have experience with children or coursework in early childhood, child development, or elementary education.
PURPOSE: Pick up meals from Scotus kitchen, prepare the food for students, serving food to students, washing dishes, and general clean up in the kitchen area.
