Description
Impact Support Services is seeking a full-time DSP staff for varying open shifts, with some shorter full-time split-shift work also available. You will provide caring, compassionate, and person-centered care by passing medications, meal preparation, personal hygiene assistance, home cleaning, assisting with personal and household shopping, laundry, and other tasks.
- Support individuals in their home and community as they live their best independent lives!
- Follow individual care plans to help individuals work toward achieving personal goals
- Thorough documentation daily as needed, from communicating with your team to daily notes and medication passes
- Provide a safe place for everyone - following emergency and inspection procedures for house and site vehicle
- Be an example of positive communication and social skills
- Provide emergency coverage during inclement weather
- Maintain certifications: CPR, First Aid, NCI, Medication Administration, Abuse/Neglect Prevention, Positive Behavior Support, HIPAA, HCBS and any others required by the agency or supervisor.
A full paid training is provided to you! Pay Range for this position is $17.50 to $23.00 and will be based on experience and education. You will receive an $.50 per hour rate increase after 6 months of employment and an additional $.50 per hour after one year of employment. Non-contact hours are paid at an alternative rate.
Qualifications
- Candidate must be 18 years of age
- A valid Drivers License with the ability to obtain a Class E Drivers License within 14 days of hire
- Current Vehicle Insurance
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass driving and criminal background checks
- 1 years of relevant Direct Support Professional Experience preferred
- Proven track record of 6 months work history at one company
- Excellent written communication
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to reliably commute to work in all weather conditions
