A day in your life as a Software Test Engineer at ImpediMed may include:
- Analyzing Features and User Requirements to provide effort estimation for software testing.
- Working closely with Development, Product, and QA teams to define test requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and alignment with product goals.
- Creating Test Designs, Test Cases, Test Data, Automated Scripts, and all necessary Test Documentation to ensure thorough validation of software.
- Leading the automation test strategy for the SOZO product, ensuring coverage, scalability, and reliability.
- Overseeing and continuously enhancing the automation test framework to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and maintainability.
- Performing Functional, Regression, and Automation Testing according to defined processes, analyzing results, and generating comprehensive reports for various stakeholders.
- Participating in the Test Cases and Test Documents reviews to ensure high quality.
- Tracking and analyzing key quality assurance metrics, including defect density, test coverage, and performance testing results, to drive improvements.
- Ensuring adherence to ImpediMed’s standards, processes, and methodologies for software testing.
- Staying up to date with the latest testing techniques, strategies, testing tools/frameworks to keep testing practices cutting-edge.
- Advocating for software quality best practices and providing guidance to team members on testing processes and strategies.
- Mentoring junior QA engineers, helping them resolve technical challenges and grow within the team.
- Understanding, and follow, regulatory requirements and policies across various processes.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Agile methodology, and Scrum framework. Scrum Master experience is a plus.
- Experience with different software testing types, including Functional, Integration, Performance and Stress Testing. ISTQB certification is a plus.
- Professional experience with automation testing frameworks such as Mocha, Espresso, Chai, XCUITest.
- Hands-on experience in writing, executing, and monitoring automated tests using a various tools including Selenium, Appium.
- Familiarity with web programming languages and frameworks, including Java, React.js, Node.js, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API automation testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
- Experience with Amazon Web Service (AWS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of security testing practices is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving mindset and innovative/creative thinking.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated collaborative teamwork
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
- Fluency in English language (both oral and written).
- Medical Device experience coupled with digital health experience is a plus.
