About the role
This is an opportunity to join one of the worlds leading universities and drive its principal gifts and global fundraising strategy. One of the most exciting leadership positions in the sector, the Director of Development : Principal & Global, this newly created position will be critical to Imperial maintaining and growing its capability to attract philanthropic funding at the principal gifts level and engaging powerfully with our alumni and non-alumni stakeholders globally.

A strategy this ambitious requires us to think boldly, and we are in the planning stages of a comprehensive fundraising and alumni engagement campaign. Philanthropy already plays a significant role at the university, and we have a strong track record of securing principal gifts of 5m-40m.
What you would be doing
This is an opportunity for an exceptional fundraising leader to lift our achievements higher in support of our strategy. Working at the most senior levels across the University and globally, you will lead a team that delivers gifts that are truly transformational. Reporting to the Vice President, Advancement and a member of her Leadership Team, you will lead our engagement with principal level prospects around the world, and help shape and drive Imperials next fundraising campaign.

You will be a values-driven leader, entrepreneurially minded, and comfortable orchestrating a myriad of stakeholders. With a track record of securing philanthropic principal gifts, you will have a demonstrable record of building relationships and engaging with philanthropists and high net-worth individuals.

Further Information
This is a full-time, open-ended role based at the South Kensington and White City Campus with travel to other campuses as required.
