The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) is the nation’s voice for community banks with its mission to create and promote an environment where community banks flourish. We are dedicated exclusively to representing the interests of the community banking industry and its membership through effective advocacy, best-in-class education, and innovative products and services. ICBA engages with members to address challenges faced by community banks of all sizes and charter types. What Is a Community Bank? A community bank is a depository or lending institution that primarily serves businesses and individuals in a small geographic area. Community banks tend to emphasize personal relationships with their customers.

The 2023 ICBA Summer Intern program will be from June 5^th to August 4^th. The program will be a learning experience and help you gain valuable job experience and develop essential skills. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership, work on meaningful projects, participate in learning and development opportunities and join in networking and social events with other Team Members and fellow interns. Our goal is to have a hybrid program that will be both virtual and in-person. Final determination will be made closer to the program start date.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources intern to join our team.

The Human Resources Intern will assist with the coordination and execution of various tasks and processes within the HR Department. This internship requires strong communication skills; the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment; and the ability to work well under pressure while driving results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the HR Team on daily tasks and special projects, including compliance audits, employee onboarding, recruitment, exit activities, HR databases, and HR material, etc.
• Administrative support - data entry 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong efficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational capability
• Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills
• Comfortable working in constantly changing environment while meeting deadlines
• Flexibility to work with changing priorities and adapt to new processes
• Ability to work effectively and act professionally with all staff levels
• Ability to work with minimal/moderate supervision
