Description
The CQI Nurse possesses skills in evaluating the quality of patient care from a policy perspective. This person completes audits on a regular basis and reports findings, which include recommendation for adjustment as necessary. In addition, the CQI Nurse keeps current on all changes through CMS, and/or Joint Commission (if applicable), and reports findings to management.
The ideal candidate will live in Las Vegas. Travel to other office locations will be done regularly.
Responsibilities:
- This person will travel weekly to Reno

Conducts organized chart review to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Responds to deficiencies in a timely manner as directed by management

Participates in QAPI meetings

Provides compliance training to staff in the form of QAPI meetings and in-services
-
Daily audits of GIP documentation.

Prepares quarterly and annual CQI reports, and/or following each audit

Monitors Joint Commission website, as needed

Conducts Hospice Item Set (HIS) data gathering, encoding and submission to CMS

Assist with EMR training during onboarding of new staff
-
Audit charts, via QA Manager, and provide support for smooth End of Month billing process

Monitors provider visits and CPT codes
-
Oversees survey preparedness activities with DPS and conducts Mock Surveys

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Possess an active RN license in the state of the program’s licensure.

Flexibility within the position to work in office or remotely.

Experience as a CQI Nurse preferred.

Minimum of 2 years hospice experience, preferred.

Proficient computer skills as well as both written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multi task with a high level of organizational skills
Salary : $89,000 - $95,000
