Overview

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent 
  • Working knowledge of common PC
  • At IMC, working knowledge database management
  • Well developed oral/written communications skills
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical processes/applications 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree
  • Working knowledge of credentialing process
  • At IH, National Medical Staff Services Certification 

Responsibilities

Collects and organizes data and provides administrative support for the credentialing function. Credentialing activities may be for medical staff and allied health professionals or may be for physician clients and physician extenders. At IMC, credentials/re-credentials all providers as necessary for third party insurance plans and maintains a master file of all key information.
