Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that support our business objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop data models, and create reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, ETL processes, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create and optimize reports and dashboards using BI tools to deliver insights to stakeholders.
- Utilize linked data concepts to enhance data integration and accessibility across platforms.
- Work with Azure Data Lake for big data storage solutions and analytics.
- Write scripts in VBA and Shell Scripting for automation of repetitive tasks.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in developing business intelligence solutions with a focus on data warehousing.
- Strong knowledge of ETL tools and processes; experience with big data technologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java; familiarity with linked data concepts is desirable.
- Experience working with Azure Data Lake or similar cloud-based data storage solutions is preferred.
- Understanding of database management systems and server environments relevant to BI applications.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders alike.
