Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTechnical Expertise (40%)
- Diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software issues using specialized diagnostic tools.
- Research, develop, and document solutions for future problem resolution.
- Provide technical support to technicians and end-users.
- Implement and maintain automated data processing systems and applications in a client-server environment.
Team Coordination and Project Oversight (35%)
- Lead and coordinate teams for process, procedure, and technical specification development.
- Plan and oversee the implementation of hardware, software, and network components.
- Develop operational procedures for communication systems, network, and software.
- Liaise between technical staff, management, vendors, and users to address service requests and technical matters.
Server and Network Administration (15%)
- Troubleshoot and resolve Local Area Network (LAN) connectivity issues.
- Administer network users, groups, and access rights.
- Monitor server backups and rebuild failed servers as needed.
- Install and troubleshoot print servers and telecommunication hardware.
Additional Responsibilities (10%)
- Enforce security standards and manage virus/spyware remediation.
- Apply system updates, patches, and maintain security protocols.
- Attend technical and client-specific training sessions.
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in computer science, information systems, networking, systems analysis, programming, IT project management, or mathematics.
Alternate Education and Experience:
- Associate degree with 16 semester credits in relevant fields and two years of professional experience as an IT technician, application programmer, or equivalent.
- High school diploma and four years of IT-related experience may substitute for the formal education requirement.
Experience
- P11 Level: Entry-level position; no specific experience required.
- P12 Level: Requires two years of professional experience equivalent to a P11 IT Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Expertise in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
