Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled, mechanically-minded individuals to join our team. As a Paper-converting Machine Operator (in training), you will be responsible for helping the Operator with various types of machinery to ensure efficient production processes. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Help and learn to set up machines according to specifications
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning
- Help the Operator perform routine maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns
- Inspect finished products for quality control purposes
-Using a computer, print shipping labels and collect correct packaging supplies
- Tell Operator when issues arise - help troubleshoot and resolve timely
- Begin understanding and reading (interpret) job tickets
- Keep accurate records when using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and ruler
- Handle materials and supplies in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
- Manufacturing experience
-Great attendance and excitement to learn
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail
-Problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle materials safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment
-Previous fork truck certification a PLUS
-No health concerns that would limit lifting 20-40 pounds consistently
