Qualifications
What it takes to be a Driver at Lexington:
Our drivers provide transportation to the residents for appointments and activities trips. You will also ensure the safety of all passengers as well as run event and community errands as needed. Must have a valid state driver’s license with good driving record.
Along with Driving, you will also assist the director in planning and executing activities to provide therapeutic recreation services designed to improve the psychosocial, physical and mental well-being of residents.
Reports To: Administrator
Supervises:
Contacts: Staff, residents, family members, community and volunteers
Essential Responsibilities:
1. With direction from Admintrator/Director of nursing implements recreation activities for residents to meet psychosocial needs.
2. Contributes to the effective operations of the department by demonstrating dependability in job
performance.
3. Demonstrates commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Inspirit Senior Living
4. Collaborates with all staff to maintain the safety and security of all who reside, visit, or work in the
facility.
Qualifications:
Experience: One year experience in a residential care community
Licensure:
Testing: Pre-placement drug test and TB test required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Must possess good organizational, written and verbal communications skills. Ability to interact effectively in all contacts. Ability to work independently with little need for direction. Schedule flexibility to accommodate after hour needs of residents. Must have a working knowledge of
computers.
