Innovative-IDM is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team.

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for timely confirmation of Purchase Orders and Expediting critical parts for all allocations (Sales Orders & Manufacturing Jobs).

You will interact with the Customer Service Dept., Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Order Entry groups to assist as needed. This job is critical to Innovative-IDM to ensure we are meeting or exceeding the expectations of our customers by providing delivery status. The person filling this roll will also be required to become proficient in Order Entry and Purchasing.

Responsibilities:

• Confirm Innovative-IDM Purchase Orders with Vendors.
• Update Customer Sales Orders as needed and send email notifications to customers.
• Update Production regarding delivery dates of manufacturing components.
• Utilize daily reports to ensure timely delivery.
• Brings problems and solutions to the attention of the manager; is willing to ask for help.
• Responds to voicemail and email within a timely manner.
• Processes credit card authorizations and creates invoices for products purchased.
• Identifies and introduces new ideas and solutions to create efficiency in the operation.
• Follows all procedures as detailed in customer service operations policies and guidelines.
• Creating Purchase Orders and Sales Orders in a timely manner with accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to type 40 WPM
• Possesses a guest service mentality; has a genuine desire to serve the customer.

Experience & Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. College course work preferred.
