ABOUT US:
Inova Ambulatory Surgery Center at McLean is a full service ambulatory outpatient facility. We are licensed, Medicare certified, and AAAHC accredited. We provide cost-effective outpatient services using modern, state-of-the-art technology in a friendly and caring environment by highly-skilled, compassionate staff.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Days - 4x9s
- Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Care for surgical patients as they recover from anesthesia
- Monitor and chart vital signs, such as heart or respiratory rate, blood pressure, or oxygen level
- Comfort patients as they wake; may be required to gently restrain patients
- Check surgical site for excessive bleeding or swelling
- Educate patients on care for the surgical wound or other post-discharge care.
- Cross-train to work in PreOperative area to meet the needs of the unit
EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:
- One or more years of PACU/Critical Care nursing experience in an ambulatory surgery setting or acute hospital
- Prior PreOp and PostOp experience in an ASC is strongly desired
- Graduate from an accredited nursing institution
- Current licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS/PALS certification preferred within six (6) months of date of hire
