Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate II / III to join our dynamic Screening team. You will play a critical part in running high-throughput screening (HTS) processes to identify engineered microbial strains with enhanced performance. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient and accurate HTS operations, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) for throughput and data quality. The role will be 80% operations and 20% development / cross training.
This role currently requires a Monday to Friday schedule; however, there may be potential for weekend shifts as operational needs evolve.
Responsibilities :
- Independently execute HTS runs based on weekly project needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely collection and processing of screening data.
- Ensure quality through control checks, identifying and resolving any data discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records.
- Troubleshoot experimental issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including strain engineers, automation engineers, analytical chemists and data scientists.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to optimize screening workflows.
- Contribute to the development and validation of new screening assays and technologies.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
