Posting Summary
The Staff Assistant provides critical administrative support to the Office of Engagement and Leahy Institute for Rural Partnerships and helps maintain smooth operations within the department. This role provides administrative support and interfaces with internal and external partners. It includes maintenance of our Salesforce CRM database, involving data entry and reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, able to work with data management systems and interact with internal and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate's degree or equivalent required and at least 1 year of experience in an administrative support role,
Skills :
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Experience working with CRM platforms, especially Salesforce, to enter, update, and report data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive data and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Desirable Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Experience within a higher education or government environment and with data entry, CRM systems, and database management. Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is highly preferred.
Anticipated Pay Range
22.50 - $26.50 per hour
Other Information
Occasional travel to OOE sponsored events and activities within the state may be needed. Position potentially eligible for hybrid work schedule. Part-time position, estimated 20 hours per week.
Special Conditions
External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Bargaining unit position, A probationary period may be required, Contingent on continued funding, 50% of full time, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
