Phlebotomy Instructor (Part-Time)
Location: San Jose, CA
Pay: $29.00 to $32.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 24-29 per week

With over 50 years of excellence, IBT is a leader in career-focused education. We are currently seeking a dedicated Phlebotomy Instructor to join our team at our San Jose campus. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in shaping the next generation of phlebotomists and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy/EKG to aspiring Lab Assistants.
Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment during lectures and clinical activities. Provides a professional role model for students, support and mentor students to ensure their successful completion of the program.
Deliver the curriculum in an accessible and engaging manner.
Maintain classroom cleanliness and manage onsite inventory.
Adhere to company policies, including accurate classroom documentation.
Ensure productive attendance and punctuality for all scheduled classes. Develop lesson plans, presentations, and instructional materials to facilitate effective learning.
Utilize technology tools, such as Canvas, to support instruction.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
Required Documents:

AHA CPR Certification
Proof of education (diploma, GED, or transcripts)
Phlebotomy certification
Schedule:
This part-time position does not offer benefits.
PM Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM
(Friday 09:00 AM-1:00 PM) Staff meetings, grading, tutoring, CPT review
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Required) . Advanced education or college degree preferred but will consider candidates with equivalent experience
Experience.
License/Certification:
Must hold a current Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification in California with a minimum of 3 years of full-time phlebotomy experience within the last 5 years (including venipunctures, blood collection, lab processing, and special specimen procurement). Certification copy required upon request.
