Join our dynamic Antibody Characterization and Validation Team as a motivated Program Manager and Scientist. You will play a dual role, contributing directly to scientific work while managing key project deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in antibody characterization and experience in program management within a scientific research environment. This individual will be responsible for driving project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and conducting key research as part of the Antibody Characterization and Validation team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Program Management (50%):
- Lead and coordinate activities for multiple projects to meet timelines, budget, and quality objectives.
- Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any issues.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to leadership.
- Assist in identifying antibody validation gaps in portfolio projects and in recommending outsourced or internal testing to fill the gaps.
- Contribute directly to antibody validation efforts with appropriate application testing (e.g. Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), etc.).
- Analyze data and optimize/troubleshoot experimental protocols to ensure high-quality results.
- Collaborate closely with R&D teams to ensure project goals align with scientific objectives.
- Ph.D. (preferred) or M.S. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting, ideally within R&D or product development.
- Hands-on expertise with relevant laboratory techniques, e.g., Western blotting, cell culture, ELISA.
- Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar) and data analysis tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credential is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to impactful science.
